About
Data stewardship has been defined as:
The willingness to be accountable for a set of business information for the well-being of the larger organization, by operating in service, rather than in control, of those around us.
For Oregon, the organization is broadly defined to include a GIS community of staff at the state, local, federal, tribal, and regional levels. In order for the Framework Program to be successful, it is important to foster and encourage a robust environment of data stewardship and sharing of geospatial data in Oregon.
