A Pest Control Permit authorizes the use of agricultural fireworks to deter birds or animals that pose a threat to certain types of properties. This permit requires a completed application, but no fee is required.
Permit Requirements
To legally use agricultural fireworks for pest control, you must have:
A valid Oregon Pest Control Permit
A federal license from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE)
The Oregon permit remains valid until its expiration date unless it is revoked or suspended due to a violation.
Properties must be:
Farms
Forests
Waste and recycling facilities
Airports
Golf courses
Properties used for the production of commercially valuable fish or seafood
Estuaries
Properties located outside of incorporated cities
Federal Licensing
