Wildfire in Oregon

Wildfire Awareness Month - Protect What We Love Explore the Wildfire-Ready Home ↓

Wildfire season can feel intimidating, but protecting your home doesn’t have to happen all at once. Wildfire Prepared: One Foot at a Time is all about taking simple, practical steps that add up to powerful protection.

Research from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) shows the first five feet around your home is the most important place to start. Small actions in this zone, like clearing debris, choosing safer materials, and reducing things that can ignite, can make a big difference during a wildfire.

Just like following a Bigfoot trail, the journey starts with a single step. Take one action today. Build confidence as you go. Over time, those small steps work together to create legendary protection for your home, your family, and your community.
