Continuing Education

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Due to the current outbreak of COVID-19, active licensees can choose a 30-day extension of the continuing education requirements for renewal. To accept this extension, you must log in to eLicense, complete the license renewal application, and pay the active renewal fee of $300 by your license expiration ​date. You must then submit your continuing education ​records to the Agency by email ​​(orea.info@oregon.gov)​ ​no later than the end of the month following​​​​ your license renewal​.​​​
​ ​​​Select from the following ​scenarios:​
  1. ​​Take the following from Certified Continuing Education Providers before your first renewal of your active principal broker license:
    • 3-hour Law and Rule Required Course
    • 27-hour Principal Broker Advanced Practices Course
  2. Enter continuing education course information into eLicense by the license expiration date.
  3. Renew your license in eLicense.
  4. Keep your certificates of attendance​ for 3 years.
  1. ​​Take the following from Certified Continuing Education Providers within 2 years before renewal:
    • 3-hour Law and Rule Required Course (LARRC).
    • A minimum of 27 additional hours of continuing education in required topics.
  2. Enter continuing education course information into eLicense.
  3. Renew your license in eLicense.
  4. Keep your certificates of attendance for 3 years.

​You don't need continuing education. Before you can activate your license you must meet the applicable continuing education requirements.​​​​
  1. ​Take the following from Certified Continuing Education Providers within 2 years before reactivation​:
    • 3-hour Law and Rule Required Course (LARRC).
    • A minimum of 27 additional hours of continuing education in required topics.
      If you are reactivating your license for the first time after an inactive first renewal, you must take the 27-hour Principal Broker Advanced Practices (PBAP) course. 
  2. Reactivate your license in eLicense.
  3. Keep your certificates of attendance for 3 years.
