Due to the current outbreak of COVID-19, the Oregon Real Estate Agency is giving licensees who actively renew their licenses a 30-day extension to meet their continuing education requirements. If you choose this option during the online renewal process in eLicense, you must still complete the renewal and pay the active renewal fee of $300 in eLicense by your license expiration date.
You then must submit your continuing education records to the Agency by email (email@example.com)
no later than the end of the month following your license renewal.
renew your license in eLicense starting the first day of the month your license expires in. Check your license expiration date by logging into your eLicense account or searching your name in the Licensee Lookup.
The Agency emails license renewal reminders to you. These emails are a courtesy. You are responsible for renewing your license on time even if you do not receive an email.
Conducting professional real estate activity with an inactive or expired license may result in civil penalties.

Active license at expiration
If your license was active, the license became inactive upon expiration. You cannot conduct professional real estate activity while your license is inactive.
Inactive license at expiration
- Log into your eLicense account.
No continuing education is required.
- Pay the $150 fee + $150 late renewal fee.
- Receipt is emailed after transaction is complete.
