New Member Joins Real Estate Board


LaTasha Beal, Oregon Real Estate Board Member - March 2022

Governor Kate Brown appointed LaTasha Beal to the Oregon Real Estate Board. She will replace departing board member David Hamilton.

Beal is a principal broker in Oregon and a managing broker in Washington. She has been licensed in Oregon since 2009 and licensed in Washington since 2018. She earned her bachelor's degree in real estate finance from Portland State University in 2009.  Beal is also a certified residential investment specialist.

Beal is currently the vice-chair of the Oregon Realtors Diversity Committee. Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the real estate industry has become integral to her business. She has started a team, Remnant Realty Group, powered by Keller Williams Sunset Corridor.

Beal lives in Tigard. She is married to the love of her life and enjoys serving in her community, specifically community rehabilitation centers.

The Oregon Real Estate Board consists of seven industry members and two public members. Members are appointed by the Governor. Most terms are four years, and all Board members are subject to a 2-term limit. Board duties include:

    • Providing advice to the Real Estate Commissioner and the Governor's office regarding real estate industry matters.
    • Reviewing proposed rulemaking.
    • Approving experience waiver requests of real estate license applicants.
    • Making recommendations about the license examination process.
    • Approving the qualifications of continuing education provider applicants.
