The Oregon Real Estate Board elected Jessenia Juarez as chair and Dawn Duerksen as vice chair during its meeting on December 3, 2025.
Jessenia Juarez will assume the role of chair in 2026. She currently serves as vice chair and holds one of the two public member positions on the Board. She is the Lending Director at the Portland Housing Center and has over 12 years of experience in the real estate industry.
Jessenia serves on numerous committees focused on homeownership access for underserved and underrepresented communities. Originally from El Salvador, she has lived in the United States since the age of 3.
Dawn Duerksen is a licensed property manager and co-owns Duerksen & Associates, Inc. with her husband. She has been licensed since 2007 and serves the Corvallis, Albany, and Philomath areas.
In 2012, Dawn and her family founded the Rental Property Management Group (RPMG), which brings together property managers and landlords to promote industry education and ethical tenant relations. She and her husband live in Corvallis, where they enjoy serving the K-12 youth in the community.

Oregon Real Estate Board members are appointed by the Governor. Each term is 4 years, and all Board members are subject to a 2-term limit. It consists of 7 industry members and 2 public members. Board duties include providing advice to the Real Estate Commissioner and the Governor's office regarding real estate industry matters, reviewing proposed rulemaking, approving experience waiver requests of real estate license applicants, making recommendations about the license examination process, and approving the qualifications of continuing education provider applicants.
