Meet Your Instructor
Liz Hayes brings a wealth of experience to this role, having served at the Oregon Real Estate Agency for over eight years. She began in the Licensing and Education Division before spending more than two years as an investigator in the Regulations Division. In 2021, Liz was appointed to lead the newly established Compliance Division.
Liz is particularly qualified to teach this course due to her extensive background in the industry. Prior to joining the Agency, she held a broker license for 12 years, working at a brokerage specializing in new construction and managing both single and multifamily properties. Her hands-on experience included working directly with property owners, tenants, and vendors, as well as managing bookkeeping operations and monthly reconciliations.
Important Note
While this course covers the minimum requirements under Oregon law, it's important to remember that your brokerage may have additional requirements beyond those discussed in the session.
The instructor cannot provide legal guidance but will focus on explaining the requirements as outlined in ORS 696 and OAR 863.
