The state of Oregon encourages everyone to use alternative transportation when possible to commute to work. When we bicycle, walk, ride the bus or train, carpool, vanpool, or use other forms of alternative transportation, we save on greenhouse gas emissions, wear and tear on our cars and roads, and improve our health.
The following sections contain links to resources that can help you sustain your alternative transportation commute if you've been at it for a while. It also has information, tips, maps and contacts for folks who would like to start a new, healthier alternative to driving to work.
