OSB Visit to Roseburg - August 2009
The event attracted about 100 people to the ODOT Maint Yard in Lemolo. Kate Brown, OSB Chair, and several staffers joined the crowd. The event was a demonstration for fast pyrolysis - new to Oregon. The engine converts wood chips into bio-fuel, bio-char, and gas.

The wood chips come from the forest and are cut to specific sizes. The machine is very portable and transports to the site in a trailer. Jim Archeletta explains how bio-char is an amazing soil additive. The technician adds the wood chips into the machine.
