Health Incentives and Outcomes Committee

The Health Incentives and Outcomes Committee concluded its work with a report to the Oregon Health Policy board in November 2010. The Committee was chartered to refine uniform, statewide health care quality standards for use by all purchasers of health care, third-party payers, health care providers and consumers. The Committee was guided by the Triple Aim of improving population health, improving the individual's experience of care, and reducing per capita costs. The Committee investigated, evaluated and developed recommendations to the Board for transparent payment methodologies that provide incentives for cost‐effective, patient‐centered care and reduce variations in cost and quality of care.
The Committee was comprised of two Subcommittees: the Payment Subcommittee focused on payment policy and standards, and the Quality Subcommittee focused on standards and metrics related to value: both policy and cost in health care. The two subcommittees together constituted the Committee. Please use this website as a resource.
