The Health Licensing Office (HLO) protects the health, safety and rights of Oregon consumers by ensuring only qualified applicants are authorized to practice. HLO establishes, communicates and ensures compliance with regulatory standards for multiple health and related professions.

Health in All Policies (HiAP) is a collaborative approach that emphasizes consideration of the public's health and well-being in policy decisions across all sectors.

The Public Health Division supports the triple aim of better health, better care and lower costs by collecting and monitoring data on the health of Oregonians and using that data to implement community health strategies that work. By focusing on prevention, public health programs and policies reduce the impact and cost of long-term health issues.
