Becoming a Member


There is currently one vacany for an additional board member for the Oregon Project Management Advisory Board (OPMAB).

Board Membership Criteria

To be considered for board membership, you must meet the following criteria: 

  1. Be a current full-time state employee
  2. Understand that:
    • Board members are volunteers
    • Working on board tasks and deliverables is optional
    • At least 50% attendance at the monthly board meetings is required
  3. Understand that board events include:
    • One-hour long monthly board meetings
    • Two, 3-hour long, in-person meetings per year
    • Events related to the work of the board
    • Meetings with local project management partners
    • Working sessions related to board initiatives and scheduled outside of the monthly board meetings
  4. Be in one of the following job classifications, or in a classification where project management is 50% or more of your job duties:
    • Project Manager 1, 2, or 3
    • Operations Policy Analyst 3 or 4
    • Information Systems Specialist 5, 6, 7, or 8
    • Other Job Classification with Project Management Responsibilities 
  5. Have approval from your manager to participate and be able to produce the approval (e.g., email).
