2015-2017 Dental Hygiene Renewal
The Board has moved to an online renewal process. You will not need any special codes to access your online renewal. Once you have accessed your online renewal application, you will be able to complete the process entirely online. If you should need to stop in the middle of the process, your information up to that point will be saved and you can return at a later date to complete the process. You will be able to pay online with a credit card or you can choose to print your completed renewal and mail it to the PO Box with a check or money order.
There will be no exception for the online process. If you do not have access to a computer, you can visit the local public library, a family member or friend, or even visit the Board office.

Temporary Rules Implemented June 26, 2015
At its June 26, 2015 meeting, the Board approved the following temporary rule regarding a fee increase to be effective July 1, 2015. This fee increase was approved with the governor signing HB 5014. The fee increase is for the OBD to add one new Full Time Dental Investigator. The investigative case backlog and the complexity of the cases are such that the only way the OBD will reduce the time to resolve a case in a reasonable timeframe, is to hire an additional investigator.
Temporary Rules Implemented April 17, 2015
At its April 17, 2015 meeting, the Board approved the following temporary rules regarding adding prescriptive authority for dental hygienists back to the Dental Hygiene rules. These temporary rules are in effect now, and will remain in effect until permanent rules can be implemented. The Board is planning on having a public rulemaking hearing on permanently implementing this rule and a number of other rule changes on August 27, 2015. More information on these future proposed rule changes will be forthcoming.
