Airport Land Use Compatibility Guidebook

The Airport Land Use Compatibility Guidebook is the State of Oregon’s tool for promoting compatibility between public- and private-use airports and surrounding land uses and developments. It helps to ensure development in the airport environs occurs in a safe and orderly manner. The Guidebook can be used by groups such as:
  • Local jurisdictions
  • Private developers
  • Public agencies 
The Guidebook contains many tools that may be useful to those interested in land use and airports, including: 
  • Sample easements and agreements
  • Model code for an airport safety overlay zone
  • Resources to promote compatibility between airports and surrounding land uses.
