The Critical Oregon Airport Relief (COAR) grant program is funded through ASAP, and provides grants to public use airports in Oregon. COAR may provide up to $150,000 per eligible project.
Eligible project types are separated into three categories:
- Assist Oregon public use airports with match requirements for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants
- Provide grants for emergency preparedness and infrastructure projects in accordance with the Oregon Resilience Plan (ORP) or Oregon Aviation Plan (OAP)
- Provide grants for aviation related economic development including but not limited to:
- Critical and essential aviation services including sewer, water, navigational aids, and weather equipment;
- Aviation related business development including hangars, parking, and related facilities;
- Airport development for local economic benefit, including signage and marketing; and
- Assist commercial air service to rural Oregon
