The State Owned Airports Reserve (SOAR) Program is funded through ASAP for projects at state-owned, public-use airports.
The funds are invested in state-owned airports for the purposes of
- Safety improvements including maintenance
Infrastructure projects
Program Highlights
- The State Airports Manager and ODAV Director assess the needs and priorities for the 28 State owned airports.
- Projects are planned on a two-year cycle to align with the agency’s biennial budget.
- Projects and project budgets are presented to the Aviation Review Committee for approval recommendation, and approved by the State Aviation Board.
- Most SOAR projects do not receive federal funds.
