Dog & Cat Food Licensing

License required

• If a treat or food made in Oregon contains raw or cooked meat, you need to obtain a Pet Food Manufacturing License from the Food Safety division.
  
• Treats and supplements (for any animal) making health claims must be registered with the Veterinary Products program, managed by Animal Health.
  
• Food for pets other than dogs and cats must be registered as Commercial Feed, managed by Animal Health.
  

License not required

• If a treat or food made in Oregon does not contain raw or cooked meat, no license is required from Food Safety.
