Oregon Main Street Network Information
Oregon Main Street, a Main Street America State Coordinating program, is here to help communities wherever they are in
their downtown revitalization efforts. We provide support to
organizations who are ready to roll-up their sleeves; develop a vision
for how they want their downtown to look, feel, and function; and then
attract the people and financial resources to bring about the change
they want to see happen. We accomplish this by providing training and
technical assistance to communities participating in the Main Street
Track of the Oregon Main Street Network, and by access to the Oregon
Main Street Revitalization Grant which funds building improvement
projects that spur economic development for all Network communities
(available once per biennium in odd years).

Simliar to how you had to submit
an application to first join the network, there is an application
process to move up in within the tiers.
OMS staff would be happy to discuss readiness to move up to the next tier, benefits of doing such, and the application process.
Application Process
- Performing Main Street And Transforming Downtown levels are open once per year - typically in January.
- Application for the Exploring Downtown and Associate levels are open year round.
Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Awards
Every year we celebrate projects,
people, and partnerships that have helped move forward downtown
revitalization efforts across the state.
2020 Nominations are Closed.
- Eligible Applicants
- The
Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Awards is open to all
organizations participating in the "Main Street Track" of the Oregon
Main Street Network, including Performing Main Street, Transforming
Downtown, and Exploring Downtown levels.
- Project Time Frame
- If
applicable, all projects must have been completed between July 2019 and
June 2020.* Projects or activities that received an award in previous
years are not eligible unless there have been substantial changes or
additions made during the nomination timeframe.*The one exception is
the Best New Business Category. This is open to businesses that have
opened between July 1, 2018-June 30, 2020.
