Public Meetings Law and Grievance Process
The OBMP follows all applicable public meetings laws set out in
ORS 192. If you believe the Board, or its staff, has violated a public meetings law, you may submit a written grievance to Executive Director, Tom Griffitts, as follows:
- Mailed by first class mail to: 800 NE Oregon St #507, Portland, OR 97232;
- Email to tom.griffitts@obmp.oregon.gov; or
- Hand delivered during regular business hours to: 800 NE Oregon St #507, Portland, OR 97232.
As set forth in OAR 199-050-0070(2): The written grievance hall be submitted to the public body within 30 calendar days from the date of the meeting where the alleged violation occurred. The written grievance shall identify:
- The governing body that allegedly violated the public meetings law;
- The date of the meeting where the alleged violation occurred;
- The specific facts and circumstances that the person asserts amount to a violation of the public meetings law;
- The date of the grievance; and
- The name and contact information of the person submitting the grievance.
