Education Requirements to Renew License

To renew your active Oregon real estate license, you will need to take 30 hours of continuing education from a certified continuing education provider. If you are renewing for the first time, there are two specific classes you must take.

A reminder to new licensees: Your first license period is generally less than 2 years because the expiration date is on the last day of your birth month. Confirm your license expiration date by logging in to your eLicense account.

Broker: First Renewal Requirements

  • 27-hour Broker Advanced Practices (BAP) Course
  • 3-hour Law and Rule Required Course (LARCC)

Broker: Second and Subsequent Renewal Requirements

  • 3-hour LARCC
  • 27 hours of courses taken from certified continuing education providers.

Principal Broker: First Renewal Requirements

  • 27-hour Principal Broker Advanced Practices (PBAP) Course
  • 3-hour Law and Rule Required Course (LARCC)

Principal Broker: Second and Subsequent Renewal Requirements

  • 3-hour LARCC
  • 27 hours of courses taken from certified continuing education providers.

Property Manager: First Renewal Requirements

  • 27-hour Property Manager Advanced Practices (PMAP) Course
  • 3-hour Law and Rule Required Course (LARCC)

Property Manager: Second and Subsequent Renewal Requirements

  • 3-hour LARCC
  • 27 hours of courses taken from certified continuing education providers.

Entering Your Continuing Education Course Information into eLicense

Before you can renew your active license, you must enter the information from your continuing education certificates into eLicense.

  • To enter before your license renewal month, log into your eLicense account and select “Add Continuing Education. “
  • On or after the 1st day of your renewal month, enter your continuing education during your online license renewal in eLicense.
