home page image "Open card" prescriptions must be on tamper-resistant paper
Starting April 1, Medicaid will only pay for covered outpatient drugs reimbursed on a fee-for-service basis when the prescription is tamper-resistant. If DMAP pays for the drug on a fee-for-service basis, and the prescription cannot be faxed, phoned or electronically sent to the pharmacy, then you need to ensure that the prescription is on tamper-resistant paper.
