PAYMENT NOTICE: Due to the added costs of merchant fees, DMV offices only accept cash or checks and do not accept credit or debit cards; however, this office does offer an ATM in the lobby for your convenience. PARKING NOTICE: Only limited street parking is available for oversized vehicles and combination vehicles. CLOSURE NOTICE: Due to statewide cost saving measures, all DMV facilities will be closed on the following days: 9/16/11, 11/25/11, 3/23/12, 5/25/12, 8/17/12, 10/19/12, 11/23/12, 1/18/13, 4/19/13, 5/24/13. |

Your customer number must be called by 4:00 PM in order to take a test that day. Note: No one is allowed to accompany a customer into the testing area while a knowledge test is being taken except for interpreters.

Drive tests are given by appointment only. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call (541) 265-2373.
Note: If there is inclement weather, drive tests may be cancelled or traction devices may be required. Please check the Special Notices or confirm your drive test by calling the office. |

Newport DMV 158 NE 5th St Newport, OR 97365 Going North/South - From North or Southbound OR-101, turn East (away from the ocean) on 5th St.
- Continue 1 block East on 5th St.
- The DMV office will be on the Right-hand side at the corner of 5th St and Avery St.
- Only limited street parking is available for oversize vehicles and combination vehicles.
Going West - Travel West on the Corvallis Newport Hwy (OR-20).
- As you approach Newport, OR-20 becomes Olive St.
- Turn RIGHT (North) on OR-101.
- Travel North on OR-101 for about 5 blocks.
- Turn RIGHT (East) on 5th St.
- Continue 1 block East on 5th St.
- The DMV office will be on the Right-hand side at the corner of 5th St and Avery St.
- Only limited street parking is available for oversize vehicles and combination vehicles.
Going East - Travel East on Olive St.
- Turn LEFT (North) on OR-101.
- Travel North on OR-101 for about 5 blocks.
- Turn RIGHT (East) on 5th St.
- Continue 1 block East on 5th St.
