Be safe during Labor Day travels
Traffic along Oregon 99W.
Labor Day weekend is traditionally the end of the summer season. The Oregon Department of Transportation and Oregon State Police urge families taking advantage of one last weekend of summer fun to have a safe and healthy weekend. OSP troopers will be patrolling Oregon's highways looking for intoxicated, reckless and fatigued drivers. In addition, ODOT wants drivers to use extra caution around highway work zones. Work will pause for the holiday, but work zones will still be marked and will still require slower speeds.
