General Information
A Dismantler Certificate authorizes an individual to:
  • Carry on or conduct the business of buying, selling or dealing in or processing, except for processing into scrap metal, motor vehicles for the purpose of destroying, salvaging, dismantling, disassembling, reducing to major component parts, crushing, compacting, recycling, or substantially altering in form; or 
  • Carry on or conduct the business of dealing in or processing motor vehicle major component parts that are stocked in the inventory of the business, if the buying, selling, dealing in, or processing of major component parts is not part of a business selling new vehicles or repairing vehicles.

A Dismantler Certificate is valid for three years from the date of issuance.  You must reapply every three years. 
To reapply, complete all of the steps in the Qualify and Apply section above.
