Descriptive Videos
Q. What is the descriptive video service and how do I get it?
A.  Described videos are videos that play in any VCR, but they have a special sound track that describes the visual elements of the movie. Active users of the library may subscribe to this service by calling TBABS.

Q. Do you loan equipment for the descriptive videos?
Neither TBABS nor NLS loans VCR’s. It is the responsibility of the library user to acquire and maintain this equipment if the patron wishes to use the descriptive video service of TBABS.

Q. How many descriptive videos may I borrow at one time and how long may I have them on loan?
A.  You may borrow one descriptive video at a time and the loan period is three weeks.

If you would like to access the catalog of descriptive videos visit our website at http://tbabs.org/ and select DVX Catalog (Videos) from the menu.  Your TBABS representative can also send you a descriptive video catalog in Braille of large print.
