Oregon Health Authority Approved Health Care Interpreter (HCI) Training Programs

Health Care Interpreters must complete an Oregon Health Authority (OHA) approved training program to become qualified or certified.

Become an OHA Approved Training Program/Renewal Application

If you're an organization that trains health care interpreters, apply for OHA approval of your curriculum. Once approved, we'll add you to our list of training sites. Please note, Equity & inclusion Division's Health Care Interpreter program is putting a temporary pause on accepting language proficiency testing centers' applications until further notice. HCI applicants can continue to have language proficiency testing at the other approved entities listed here below “Approved Testing Centers for Language Proficiency". During the pause, OHA does not anticipate any issues with the availability of language proficiency testing services for HCI applicants.
