The Oregon Primary Care Office is part of the Oregon Health Authority’s Division of Health Policy and Analytics. The office provides access to critical information and data regarding health care capacity, quality, cost, and implementation of health care transformation.

  • NHSC Site Recertification Deadline October 9

    NHSC sites that are scheduled to recertify in 2016 have until October 9 to complete their application and submit it to the Primary Care Office. Sites that were previously part of NHSC but allowed their certification to lapse or were inactivated by HRSA may apply as well. Contact Meadow Martell prior to September 24 at 541-287-0098.

  • Students to Service Loan Repayment Program Application Cycle Open through October 13

    The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Students to Service Loan Repayment Program (S2S LRP) provides up to $120,000 to medical (MD and DO) or Dental (DDS or DMD) students in their final year of school in return for a commitment to provide primary heath care full time for at least 3 years at an approved NHSC site in a Health Professional Shortage Area of greatest need.

  • Facilities Requesting HPSA Scores should request by September 15


    ​Any FQHC, Tribal Site or Certified Rural Health Clinic should contact the PCO by September 15. Contact Marc Overbeck at 503-373-1791.

  • New Requirements for J-1 Physician Waiver Program in Effect

    Oregon is considered a career destination state for the practice of primary care. To be eligible for participation in the J-1 Physician Waiver Program requires at least 40% of patients to be covered by Medicaid or Medicare, or be "low income, uninsured". To be clear whether your site meets these criteria, contact Dia Shuhart, J-1 Program Coordinator at 503-373-0364.
