SPF Advisory Council
Purpose
The purpose of the SPF Advisory Council is to ensure that key stakeholders are involved in the SPF project.
The Oregon SPF Advisory Council developed a vision, mission and principles to guide implementation of the SPF-SIG.
Vision
An Oregon where individuals and communities make healthy choices that promote mental health, wellness and drug-free lives.
Mission
Strengthening Oregon's prevention capacity by designing and implementing a Strategic Prevention Framework that is sustainable and culturally competent.
Principles
The vision and mission of the SPF Advisory Council will be accomplished by:
Facilitating better use of data to improve decision making for state, county and tribal efforts.
Creating and continuing partnerships.
Engaging stakeholders at state and community levels.
Training and support for policy development.
Developing a strategic plan for state and communities.
Implementing effective policies, programs, and practices.
Creating an evaluation plan and identifying measures of success.
Funding services culturally relevant and evidence-based services.
Promoting and driving communication among stakeholders.
Reviewing the effectiveness of policies, programs, and practices.
Collecting process and outcome data at state and community levels.
Developing recommendations for quality improvement.
