Right now, Oregon hospitals and eligible health care providers can apply for federal grants to help them implement and use electronic health records. The goal of the grants is to help providers and hospitals move to secure electronic records, allowing better coordination of care for all.
Applications are now being accepted for program year 2013 for eligible professionals and hospitals. For hospitals, the deadline is December 29, 2013. For eligible professionals, the deadline is March 31, 2014.
If you are applying for the first time, please don't delay! It may take 6-8 weeks for providers to gain access to the EHR Incentive Program application through the Provider Web Portal.
