Information for Federal Depository Libraries in Oregon
On November 28, 2007, the Oregon State Library was designated as Oregon’s Regional Federal Depository Library. With this designation, OSL will oversee the transition of Oregon’s Regional Federal Depository Collection from being housed at a single library, Portland State University, to a distributed housing arrangement among four partner libraries:
- Portland State University
- University of Oregon
- Oregon State University
- Oregon State Library
This transition will assure that a comprehensive collection of Federal depository publications will be managed and secured for citizen access in perpetuity, and the collaborating libraries will be able to provide more responsive access to federal government information.
