License Renewal Options

The 2025 Renewal Season for Odd-Numbered Licensees is now open.

Licensees who are required to renew their Oregon CPA/PA permits by June 30, 2025 are encouraged to submit their renewal application as soon as possible. The renewal application form and instructions are below. The Board will also be emailing all odd-numbered licensees a reminder to renew if the Board has a valid email address on file. Please note the Board office only accepts payments via our web site payment portal using either credit/debit cards or ACH.

Thank you for getting in your renewal early and carefully reading the instructions. Any renewals received after June 30, 2025, will be subject to the applicable late fee. As always, any renewals not completed & submitted by August 29, 2025 will lapse effective July 1, 2025.

What if I do not have enough CPE for my license renewal?

FOR ACTIVE LICENSEES: The penalty for not meeting CPE requirements is assessment of 16 additional CPE hours required for renewal, due no later than August 29 to avoid licensure lapse

FOR INACTIVE LICENSEES: Penalty for not meeting CPE requirements is assessment of eight (8) additional CPE hours required for renewal, due no later than August 29 to avoid licensure lapse

FOR RETIRED LICENSEES: Retired licensees are not required to report CPE hours for renewal


Option #1


Complete your renewal and payment by using our new fully online renewal application, just click on the logo above. The new process will guide you through the renewal step by step even through the payment process.

What you will need:
  • Access to the BOA website
  • Renewal information for form
  • Payment Information


Step by Step:
  • Click on the Online Renewal Application
  • You will have the ability to enter in each of your CPE courses, or upload your CPE Log in the Board approved format
  • Complete the application to the best of your ability
  • Pay your renewal fee

Option #2


This method is similar to the prior years where you download the application, complete the application and upload it through our Online payment and application portal


What you will need:

Step by Step:
  • Download and fill out a copy of the 2025 BOA Renewal Form
  • Fill out the form completely and include all needed information such as your CPE log
  • Sign the renewal form and then Save the file before uploading it
  • Go back to www.oregon.gov/BOA and visit the payment portal to pay the renewal fee
  • Upload your renewal application and CPE login onto the online payment portal when prompted

Option #3



Print out your renewal application and mail it and a check to the BOA.



What you will need:

Step by Step:
  • Download and print out a copy of the BOA Renewal Form
  • Fill out the form completely and be sure to include all important information where needed
  • Sign the renewal form
  • Once you have completed the form, include your SIGNED renewal form and CPE log in one envelope
  • Include a physical check with the appropriate fee for renewal
  • Address the letter to:

Fees can be paid online using a credit card by going to the Online Payment Portal or clicking the link above.  A completed application must be uploaded at the time fees are paid.  Please complete the PDF-fillable application form or print and complete by hand, then save a completed copy to your computer before you click the link to begin the submission process.  You will be asked to attach the completed application file and any supporting documentation prior to entering payment information.  You will receive a confirmation page that may be printed as a receipt.  A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you enter during the online submission process that may also be used for a receipt.


The Board does not accept applications by email.


Initial CPA/PA license, Reciprocity (including applications of military spouses) and Municipal Auditor applications must be completed within three months of submission to the Board office.  CPA/PA license reinstatement applications must be completed at the time of submission.
