The Office of Economic Analysis (OEA) provides objective forecasts of the state's economy, revenue, population, corrections population, and Youth Authority population. These forecasts are used by the Governor, the Legislature, state agencies, and the public to achieve their goals.
The Office of Economic Analysis released the
current economic forecast and the current revenue forecast on Feb. 10, 2016. The next forecast will be released on
June 3, 2016.
The corrections population forecast releases on April 1 and October 1.
The Youth Authority population forecast releases on April 15 and October 15.
In addition to its forecasts, OEA manages the Oregon Highway Cost Allocation Study
, which is issued every two years. This study is the main instrument used during legislative sessions to determine changes in weight-mile and fuel taxes and vehicle registration fees.
