Department of Administrative Services

The Department of Administrative Services Information Technology (DAS IT) program is responsible for managing the support of DAS IT systems including PCs, operating systems, applications and associated hardware. DAS IT also administers state government's mailing list service. 

In addition to serving the internal IT needs of DAS, DAS IT supports the IT needs of a variety of agencies, boards and commissions.

DAS IT consists of three units:

  1. The Help Desk provides its customers with a centralized point of contact for responsive IT services support. The DAS IT help desk is committed to efficiently and effectively helping its customers and proactively identifying and solving problems in a teamwork environment.
  2. The Application Development team creates and maintains critical database systems in use across state government for a variety of agency business needs. 
  3. The Project Management Office provides project management, analysis and administrative expertise to the program.
The DAS Chief Information Officer leads the DAS IT program, which is one of several programs of the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (also called the DAS Director's Office). While maintaining an internal focus on DAS and client agency needs, DAS IT works closely with its enterprise partners in the Office of the State CIO.
