In an inspiring program, Oregon Historical Society Executive Director Kerry Tymchuk interviews Governor Roberts, and she shares stories and insights from the journey that took her to the highest step of Oregon politics.

The event is co-sponsored by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Team of the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services and includes an opportunity for attendees to ask questions of Governor Roberts.

Recently named by USA Today as one of the ten most important Oregon women of the past 100 years, Barbara Roberts made history as the first woman to serve as Governor of Oregon. The Barbara Roberts Human Services Building in Salem was named in honor of her dedication to Oregonians in need.
