PERS/OSGP Salem office open by appointment only

The PERS/Oregon S​avings and Growth Plan ​(OSGP) Salem office will be open by appointment only starting March 13.

The Salem office will no longer accommodate walk-ins, including to drop off forms or conduct other PERS- or OSGP-related business.

Members who need to meet with PERS/OSGP staff in Salem can make an appointment by calling 503-431-8286. OSGP phone hours are 8​ a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

New four-part educational video series from OSGP and​ PERS

OSGP and the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) are pleased to present a brand new, four-part educational video series. The series was designed to help Oregon state and local government employees learn more about saving for retirement, covering a range of investment and plan-related topics.

The four-part series can be watched in any order, and is meant for everyone, at any stage in their retirement planning. Saving for retirement early is vital, but it is also never too late. The important thing is to do something
now — watch and learn what you can do.

Workday implementation issues impacting some OSGP member accounts

Implementation issues with Workday, the state of Oregon human resources and payroll system, are causing temporary posting errors for some Oregon Savings Growth Plan (OSGP) members.

At this time, contributions and payments for loans on OSGP accounts are not posting correctly, and percentage-based contributions from midmonth paychecks cannot be deferred.

OSGP staff members are working with the Workday implementation team to resolve all issues. Midmonth contribution issues are currently estimated to be resolved by April.

If you are an OSGP member experiencing issues, contact your employer's payroll specialist(s). They will work with OSGP staff to make corrections.

If you wish to change your first month's contribution amount, call OSGP's third-party administrator, Voya, at 800-365-8494 or log into your OSGP account.

Attend a virtual OSGP workshop or connect with a local plan​ representative

OSGP offers a variety of virtual workshops as well as virtual individual appointments with a plan representative. 

Plan representatives can assist with enrollment, explaining investment options, forms, and more.

IRS retirement contribution limits for 2023

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service, or IRS, sets limits on the amount you can contribute to retirement savings accounts each year.

These limits apply to the Oregon Savings Growth Plan (OSGP), a 457(b) deferred compensation plan.

For 2023, the IRS contribution limits are:

• $22,500 if you are younger than 50.
• $30,000 if you are 50 or older.

In addition, OSGP offers a three-year special catch-up provision for members who meet certain criteria.

Browser changes affecting IAP and OSGP log-on sites

Voya.com, which hosts the lo​g-on sites for PERS' Individual Account Program (IAP) and Oregon Savings Growth​ ​Plan (OSGP) accounts, will no longer support Internet Explorer versions 11 and older after March 22, 2021. ​​​
