Financial Assistance for Registered Apprentices

Pre-Apprenticeship Services and Support

If you graduated from a pre-apprenticeship program, you should contact the specific program to determine whether there are specific services and support that they offer to their graduates. Many offer peer support and career coaching, and some may also have access to emergency funds to help you continue in your apprenticeship.

File a Complaint or Appeal a Termination

The Apprenticeship and Training Division (ATD) investigates complaints related to violations of state or federal apprenticeship laws. Our authority comes from ORS 660.120 and related rules in OAR 839-011-0200 to 839-011-0375. We have the authority to review concerns involving program standards, equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and the fair treatment of apprentices within registered apprenticeship programs. This includes issues like improper program operation, retaliation for filing a complaint, discrimination, or failure to follow state-approved standards. This also includes reviewing appeals of apprentice's termination for due process upon request. We cannot intervene in personal disputes, employment matters outside apprenticeship, or issues not covered by apprenticeship law.
