Professional development hours must conform to Board rules regarding what topics, providers, and types of activities are pre-approved or require special approval. An activity must meet all three pre-approval criteria (activity, topic, and sponsor) or it must be specially approved. Hours that do not meet these rules will not be counted.

Activities that the board approves will be listed in the PD list in the Licensee Portal.
Professional Development Triple Test
If an activity is an acceptable type of activity, on an acceptable topic, sponsored by an approved sponsor, then anyone can count that activity towards license renewal. If one of the criteria is not met, or if there is any doubt, submit an application for special Board approval. Applications must be submitted within 30 days of the event.
