ETS is
funded by a rate methodology
for usage based technology service and an assessment methodology for fixed
costs related to managing the states core infrastructure and services.
Usage based rates are derived from projected usage and
cost for each service. Please note that these estimates are based on the best information available at the time of publication
of the Price List.
The
assessment provides for the statewide fixed
investment costs required to manage the core infrastructure supporting the
running of state government. This includes the State Network Access Charge
(SNAC) for bandwidth and administrative overhead. For further detail, please
reference the Rate Methodology document (listed below).
Estimates do not include new activities
initiated by agencies. Certain ETS customer agencies developing information
technology-related Policy Option Packages should contact the ETS to develop
project cost estimates and to determine the impact on the ETS. As a general
rule of thumb for planning purposes, ETS costs will be 30% of total project
costs.
