OAA Program and Data Entry Training4/27/20239:00a to 1:00pVirtual
​Training will provide a comprehensive overview of Older Americans Act (OAA) service programs. This training is for new and seasoned staff along with leads, fiscal, and supervisory staff. The four-hour session will cover each Title of the OAA, program standards, resources, tools, and data entry in the GetCare System.

ADRC I&R/OC Combined Skills Training - Day 15/10/20239:00a to 4:00pVirtual
​This combined two-day course offers comprehensive training on Information and Referral along with Person-Centered Options Counseling. This training is for new and seasoned staff and their leads/supervisors. Completion of the course is required for individuals providing Person-Centered Options Counseling.

This training will cover everything needed to perform Information and Referral and Options Counseling in the GetCare System. From basic definitions, rules and standards to practical tools and scripting, attendees will learn new skills and gain confidence in their strengths. Additional learning objectives include skill building to provide a person-centered approach to assess needs, values & preferences; documentation requirements and data entry using the GetCare client database; understanding public and private resources; and facilitating self-direction to support long-term planning for older adults and persons with disabilities.

This instructor-led webinar will be hosted over two days, each day is six hours of training. I&R staff will need to attend day one; day two is optional. Options Counselors will need to complete both days of training to receive course completion. 

Before the training, make sure you are able to log into the ADRC GetCare site as well as the Training Site. If you do not yet have an account, please have your supervisor complete the proper request form to the State. If you have trouble logging in, please click "Forgot My Password" on the main GetCare login page for assistance.

This is a virtual training on Zoom. Please plan to turn on your camera for short periods of time.
