OTIS Digital Data Book
The Office of Training, Investigations and Safety (OTIS) is now presenting the annual data report of abuse and neglect of vulnerable populations in a digital format. The data will be updated quarterly. You now have the opportunity to interact with the data and a short video is included below demonstrating how to use the Digital Data Book.
Digital Data Book Overview
The data sheets are presented in broad population groups as outlined below.
Non-familial abuse of children – Investigations under the statutory authority of the Oregon Department of Human Services.
This data sheet includes investigations conducted in Child-Caring Agencies (CCA), in 24-hour group homes for children with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), foster care homes licensed by either the Office of Developmental Disabilities Services (ODDS) or the Oregon Youth Authority (OYA), schools, day care centers or by third-party abusers. Slicers are available for CCA, DD children, Schools, Daycare and Third-party non-familial. Data for the ODDS licensed foster care homes are included with the DD children. Data for the OYA licensed foster care homes are in the Third-party non-familial. Please note: the data for DD children is a duplicate of that available in the I/DD data sheet. We now include kids in settings other than 24-hour residential included in the data.
