Surplus proceeds of property tax foreclosure sales

In response to House Bill 4056(2024), the Oregon Department of Revenue will host a series of discussions about a uniform process to distribute surplus proceeds from property tax lien foreclosure sales.

The meetings will focus county response to the ruling of the United States Supreme Court in Tyler v. Hennepin County, Minnesota, 598 U.S. 631.

Meetings will be virtual, recorded, and the videos will be posted on the department website. House Bill 4056 requires the department to submit a report to the Legislature, summarizing the outcome of discussions, by September 15, 2024.
