Oregon's Privacy and Artificial Intelligence Program, within Enterprise Information Services and led by the Chief Privacy Officer and AI Strategist, supports state agencies, boards and commissions in protecting personal data and the responsible use of AI.

Privacy defines how personal and sensitive information is collected, used, shared, and protected. AI introduces advanced capabilities that can support the delivery of government services but also create new operational, legal and ethical considerations.  The P&AI Program supports the advancement of both privacy protections and AI enablement. It supports agencies in protecting personal data, implementing AI systems with appropriate safeguards, and aligning innovation with transparency and public trust. This work is carried out in collaboration with agency partners and other jurisdictions and external stakeholders.
