UI Modernization Project Update

 
 

This communication is part of our ongoing commitment to keep you informed of the progress of our agency’s Modernization Program. The goal of our Modernization Program is to replace the aging computer systems that support receipt of unemployment insurance taxes, payment of unemployment insurance benefits, and delivery of employment services. Further, this effort will transform business processes to take advantage of opportunities and benefits available through new system capabilities and better meet the needs of our customers - Oregonians and Oregon businesses.


MEET OUR NEW (to us!) TEAMMATES

 

This month, we welcomed two new teammates to the project!

George Berriman


A warm welcome to George Berriman, who joined us as the project’s Business Manager. George will lead our team of business analysts, work closely with the vendor staff, and play a key role in maintaining a close relationship and good communication between the Modernization Program and UI. And as we get closer to the new solution “going live,” it's the business manager's role to help transition project team staff, processes, and systems to our new day-to-day operations.

Natalie ONeill


We are also happy to have Natalie O’Neill as the project’s Application Architect. Natalie will provide strategic technical leadership, lead technical planning, make key decisions, and work closely with our IT department and with vendors. She will be responsible for ensuring that technical decisions align with OED’s architectural strategy and support our long term technology goals.
