Legal Research

The Council meets quarterly with leadership to discuss a variety of topics.

Topics include, but not limited to: unemployment insurance trust fund solvency; program policy; legislation; and, funding. 

When the Legislature is in session, there is an additional monthly teleconference to update members on legislation. It is helpful if prospective members have an understanding of the legislative process.

The Oregon Employment Department (OED) is looking for new members to join our Advisory Council, which helps guide policies and programs for unemployment insurance and employment services. The Council meets virtually once per quarter.

The Council includes:
  • 4 employer representatives
  • 4 employee representatives
  • Up to 3 public representatives
