Oregon Statewide Imagery Program > Steering Committee

About

The Oregon Statewide Imagery Program (OSIP) Steering Committee provides guidance and strategy on partnerships, imagery acquisition and access as well as oversight for projects and the overall program. Membership reflects a cross section of public entities acquiring and providing imagery including U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Deschutes County, Lane Council of Governments, Oregon Department of Transportion, and Oregon's Geospatial Enterprise Office (part of the Office of the State Chief Information Officer).

The steering committee is currently working on the creation of an imagery portfolio for the State that meets the needs of multiple user groups. This portfolio will then be used to develop a long-term funding strategy and program to sustain the collection of imagery year-after-year.  For more information on the portfolio and funding strategy, contact Rachel Smith, Oregon Geographic Information Officer.
