Specimen Requirements and Collection Protocol
0.5 ml of serum or whole blood. Tubes containing anticoagulants (i.e. purple and green top tubes) will not be accepted. Ship sample as soon as possible after collection for best results. Contact lab with shipping questions.
Shipping Requirements
On ice - do not freeze - recommend ship overnight
Additional Information
Non-negatives will increase turnaround times and may need to be sent to the National Veterinary Services Lab (NVSL) and may incur additional charges.
If you find a sick or dead bird, don't touch it, report it!
