Offer ELISA or AGID test methods. Any non-negative samples will be confirmed and may incur additional charges.

Turnaround Time

ELISA: run daily at 1:00pm and results by end of day. Must receive samples and paperwork BEFORE 12:00pm to go on that day's run.
AGID: set up Monday-Wednesday. Results 24-48 hrs after setup.

Specimen Requirements and Collection Protocol

2-3 mL of serum or whole blood. Tubes containing anticoagulants (i.e. purple or green top tubes) will not be accepted. Only a federally accredited veterinarian in the state where the blood was taken may submit samples for official movement purposes. Samples must be received within 30 days of collection.

Shipping Requirements

On ice - do not freeze - recommend ship overnight

Additional Information

ELISA (accepted in Canada and Mexico) is run daily, but will run AGID upon request.

Non-negatives will increase turnaround times and may need to be sent to the National Veterinary Service Lab (NVSL) and may incur additional charges.
