The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) publishes data each month about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in Oregon. Data is reported by county and statewide.

• Caseload trends: Over the last year from August 2025 to August 2026, we have seen a decrease overall in Oregon's SNAP caseload. There was a slight increase between July and August of 2026, but that has not been trend.

Nearly 15% of people in Oregon participate in the SNAP. SNAP helps people with low incomes buy groceries and feed their household every month. In Oregon, most people receiving SNAP are children, older adults, and people with disabilities. 

SNAP food benefits are funded by the federal government. Each month, more than $123 million in SNAP benefits are spent at participating grocery stores, farmers markets, and other food retailers in Oregon.
