Become an I/DD foster home provider
The application process is currently in transition. Foster care licensing and certification duties will move from CDDPs to ODDS on Jan. 1, 2026. Read the information below for more details.
CDDPs are currently accepting applications for new foster homes from prospective providers who have already completed one of the following through their local CDDP:
- Adult foster home orientation
- Child foster care pre-service training
CDDPs are no longer offering new orientations or trainings for individuals who have not yet met qualifications, as they focus on licensing and certifying homes.
ODDS will offer orientation sessions for new prospective providers in 2026. Please check back in January for next steps. Learn more about the licensing and certification transition below.
